Wowzitude began as a solution to a problem. In 2020, my mother, like countless older adults, faced a grueling lockdown at her assisted living residence. Despite her brilliant mind, she struggled with the anxiety and stress of separation.
The pandemic had robbed her of activities that brought her joy and kept her connected to her community. As her daughter, I was deeply concerned about her social and emotional well-being.
My mother and I share a lifelong passion for travel, and this love for exploration inspired us to create Wowzitude. We envisioned a community-based, live, interactive virtual travel club that would bring people together. Our goal was to connect members from all around the world, provide guided tours to fascinating destinations, and facilitate conversations with locals in real-time. We wanted to create an immersive experience that would allow our members to explore and revisit the world together, all from the comfort of their homes.
Sadly, Mom passed away in July 2020 due to COVID. However, her memory continues to inspire us. Mom believed that life was about making connections and sharing new experiences, ideas, and conversations with others.
So come join us, as we embark on a journey of discovery and exploration together, and experience the world like never before with Wowzitude.
Wow + Gratitude = "Wowzitude!"
With much gratitude,
