Business Development & Marketing Intern - Summer 2023

Who we are: Wowzitude Travel Club is an award-winning start-up subscription service that live-streams weekly interactive, guided group virtual walking tours, connecting older adults to tour guides in 72 cities around the world.
 

Our Travel Circle partners with museums, synagogues, libraries, alumni associations, Men's and Women's clubs, media and other organizations conducting weekly live-streamed, virtual Jewish Heritage guided walking tours.


What we are looking for: Wowzitude and Our Travel Circle seek an intern for Summer 2022. Our ideal candidate is a motivated, enthusiastic person who can adapt to a fast-paced work environment with little oversight. The Sales & Marketing intern is a strategic thinker with a real appetite for creative selling. We are looking for someone passionate about heritage tours; someone who wants to build their marketing knowledge as we;; as hone their business development skills. A keen interest in the tourism industry is also a plus. 


Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain CRM (HubSpot) with a keen focus on data updates.

· Present and sell virtual tour subscription services to new customers - senior living communities and Jewish organizations.

· Attend new business Zoom calls, compiling detailed notes for follow up

· Curate content for distribution on social media channels.

· Execute business development outreach strategy through new business prospecting, utilizing all available channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook Groups).

· Set a framework for approaching new prospects - obtain deep understanding of company and key contacts; create a comprehensive profile of each.


About you:

· Past success in business development, sales or marketing internship role.

· Currently attending an accredited university; in process of obtaining degree in general business, marketing, media, history, tourism or Jewish studies

· Past experience building and managing prospect databases.

· Short video production skills a plus (Vimeo, Vidyard, TikTok, iMovie, etc.)

· Strong business writing skills

· Self-motivated - ability to understand a project goal and then execute independently to achieve it

· Articulate & confident communicator – ability to think quickly and creatively when talking to prospects.

· A basic understanding of digital marketing and the role it plays in customer acquisition.

Part-time Operations Summer Intern

Seeking part-time operations intern for this fast-paced start up.  This is a fantastic opportunity to experience a business at it’s very earliest stage!   We are seeking a motivated, self starter with a positive attitude and a willingness to help us manage our dynamic growth.  We need someone who pays strong attention to detail,  who is technically savvy and has an interest in learning and exploring how to maximize value from existing and emerging apps (such as Zoom, HubSpot etc)   You should be an excellent communicator (both verbally and written) and be reliable and responsible.

Sales and Account Managers - Independent Contractors

About this job:
Our remote sales representatives fulfill the thrill of older adults discovering or revisiting more than 50 global destinations, by connecting senior communities to live, remote, interactive virtual tour and travel programs. Our guides and hosts provide real-time, live-streamed tours and discussions that promote connections and conversations among mature adults and their communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Present and sell virtual tour and travel subscription services to new and existing customers
  • Prospect and contact potential customers
  • Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
  • Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
  • Create sales material to present to customers

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
  • Comfortable making outbound and taking inbound travel program subscriber calls
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms 
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to be successful in a performance, commission and bonus driven environment
  • Deadline and detail-oriented

Generous Commissions

15% commission on all gross subscription sales.
